Choose Skin Care Cleanser Carefully!

You might not think it would be too difficult when trying to find a decent skin care cleanser. Almost all skin care systems include a cleanser to help people with excess oil and/or acne problems. But, take care when choosing this simple skin care product because sometimes the cure is worse than the disease! The wrong skin care solution could potentially:

  • Add toxins to your system-Discount skin care products and even some of the top brands use synthetic ingredients and harsh chemicals that are often rejected by your body and stored away in fat cells as a toxin. More toxins in your body will increase the rate of oxidation and add to the number of free radicals in your body.
  • Increase the signs of aging-synthesized and inorganic ingredients in many solutions for skin care increase the number of free radicals in your body. Free radicals will damage cells, cause increased problems with dryness, and affect the production of sebum-the natural oil that lubricates and helps retain moisture
  • Strip away too much oil-if you choose a beauty or skin care product with too harsh of a cleansing agent, it will strip away too much oil and potentially lead to a condition known as Reactive Seborrhea. This condition actually makes an oily skin care problem worse because the body reacts to the skin being dry by producing an even greater amount of sebum than before and potentially worsening an acne problem as well.

Many lower end skin care and discount products use alcohol. Manufacturers use alcohol in many inexpensive makeup and skin care products for acne problems because it acts like an astringent and an antibacterial agent. The astringent helps remove the excess oil while the bactericide neutralizes the harmful bacteria that combine with sebum to produce the blemishes and pimples associated with acne.

Unfortunately, while inexpensive and relatively effective as a simple skin care ingredient for excess oil and acne, alcohol may cause dehydration, dryness, and Reactive Seborrhea. It is far more likely for a chemical or synthetic ingredient to be considered a toxin than one that is organic and all natural.

Organic and natural skin care creams, moisturizers, ointments, and cleansers are found in some of the top salons and spas around the world. Many of the top skin care companies try to mimic natural ingredients in order to patent them. While these synthesized versions of natural ingredients are theoretically supposed to be better for you than the original when it comes to providing relief-many are rejected by the body or considered toxic.

For top skin care and a healthy body, try finding organic ingredients like many of the essential oils found on the labels of many top products. The essential oils are rendered from a variety of organic sources and are enriched with "living nutrients" that help revitalize and rejuvenate from within. Many of the essential oils used in the best skin care products are loaded with antioxidants-molecules that help neutralize those dangerous free radicals while also helping to remove other dangerous toxins from the body. Plus, many essential oils act as astringents and antibacterial agents so they are perfect in a skin care cleanser and are not likely to cause problems with Reactive Seborrhea!
