Acne laser treatment is one of the many tools being used to fight the appearance of acne in people of all ages. Lighter skin tends become slightly red and a bit tender after the treatment. This subsides in only a few hours, however it is recommended that one does not scrub the affected area when cleansing. Sun exposure is contraindicated after treatment and sunscreens are typically prescribed to avoid overexposure.
